Our Client a leading Automotive OEM requires the skills of an experienced CAE Analyst or Graduate with relevant degree who is willing to undergo the required training, on a contracts basis.
Position
Run existing diesel aftertreatment models to predict system performance and thereby: assist in the definition of aftertreatment concepts develop engine-out emissions and temperature targets define aftertreatment component sizes, loadings etc. identify loadings etc. for optimisation studies assess systems for robustness Plan and assist in testing of components and systems to correlate and validate existing aftertreatment models Assist in the definition of improved test procedures for model correlation and validation Define required improvements to existing aftertreatment models Collaborate in the development of new (improved and extended) aftertreatment models covering all future components and systems Skills Required: Knowledge of computer simulation methods (Matlab/Simulink) for powertrain systems Skills Preferred: Knowledge of diesel emissions, test methods or aftertreatment technology. Knowledge of emissions aftertreatment simulation techniques Working knowledge of diesel engine emissions aftertreatment systems and calibration. Proven knowledge on emissions testing of EU4/5/6 diesel engines and vehicles, including cDPF systems.
Working knowledge on use of MS Office, Ford project delivery process FPDS, GPDS and quality tools EFDVS, DFMEA, APQP and DVP , AIMS, WERS, PNR/PACN, PMST support Full UK Drivers License
Experience Preferred: Experience in diesel emissions aftertreatment simulation Education Required: Degree level qualification in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering or similar Education Preferred: Higher degree including specialisation in diesel aftertreatment development or simulation
